Ben Henry is happy to give up his second row spot temporarily to help the Warriors out as they seek a vital win against Newcastle Knights.

The Warriors, who are 1.58, are seventh on the NRL ladder but know victory against the struggling Knights is a must if they are to continue their finals charge.

Injuries to Dane Nielsen and Konrad Hurrell mean Henry has to move to centre, harking back to the days when he was regarded as a utility player by the Auckland club.

Henry has tried to shake off that tag and has been one of the Warriors’ most consistent players this season, but the 22-year-old has accepted his switch for Sunday’s game.

I’m out there doing the job that needs to be done, so that’s when we get those two points it’s a team effort.

He said: “I was having a pretty good stint in the second row, but this is a team sport. You think about there being 13 guys out there each doing their individual job and collectively that gets you the result, but if one guy isn’t doing that you won’t.”

Henry added: “I’m out there doing the job that needs to be done, so that’s when we get those two points it’s a team effort.”

Shaun Johnson is back for the Warriors, after missing three games with a groin injury, but Tuimoala Lolohea is out with a hamstring problem.

With Johnson returning, Thomas Leuluai moves to hooker while Nathan Friend drops to the bench.

Ben Matulino switches to the back row, Jason Bukuya is brought in in the back row and Sione Lousi is named on the interchange.

The Knights, who are 1.93 with a four-point start, have Jarrod Mullen back, so captain Kurt Gidley moves to fullback. Beau Scott is also returning, with Chris Houston dropping back to the bench.
