Gold Coast Titans sack Kevin Proctor following vaping video

The Gold Coast Titans have parted ways with Kevin Proctor after he posted a video on social media of himself vaping during the club’s match against Canterbury on Sunday.

In a now-deleted Instagram story, Proctor can be seen vaping inside a cubicle at Western Sydney Stadium at half-time of the Titans’ 36-26 loss.

The video was uploaded with the caption “not the halftime vape”, with Proctor inhaling and then shaking his head with the Titans down 26-10 at the time.

Proctor was not playing in the match, but was part of the squad as 19th man, with the video believed to be taken within a toilet cubicle inside the Titans’ dressing room.

“The Gold Coast Titans have sanctioned Kevin Proctor after being made aware of an incident during yesterday’s round 19 fixture against the Bulldogs,’ a club statement read.

Proctor has also been released from his commitments with the club for the remainder of the year and will not return to train or play with the squad.

“His actions were in breach of both NRL and stadium regulations.”

More to come.
