Penrith has been dealt a major injury blow ahead of Sunday’s grand final, with star mid-season recruit Tevita Pangai Junior ruled out because of a knee injury.
Pangai Junior — who moved to the Panthers from the Broncos earlier in the season — sustained the injury during Saturday’s preliminary final.
Meanwhile, prop Moses Leota has been named in the Panthers’ squad for the grand final against South Sydney after recovering from a calf injury.
